Myanmar workers abroad often see more than one MMK number on payday. Today’s MMKHub homepage refresh uses unofficial / community / ground orientation quotes — the range many chat groups and ground desks talk about — not the bank remittance board alone.
Hub display — 17 Oct 2026 (Asia/Rangoon)
| Pair | Community / ground (MMK) |
|---|---|
| 1 USD | ≈ 4,500 |
| 1 THB | ≈ 138 |
| 1 SGD | ≈ 3,640 |
| 1 AUD | ≈ 3,150 |
| 1 NZD | ≈ 2,515 |
Bank / official boards are a different layer
Do not mix these with bank screenshots without labelling them:
- CBM reference for USD often sits near ~2,100 — an accounting/reference board, not what most wage senders plan with.
- Bank trading / counter style USD frequently sits near ~3,660–3,670 (e.g. CB Bank–style boards in mid-October research).
- Worker remittance boards from major banks in mid-October were still clustered near the high-3,900s for USD — useful, but not identical to today’s community chatter.
If those three layers confuse you, start here: Three MMK Numbers on Payday: Remittance, Bank Counter, and Community Quotes.
What to do before you send
- Open the live homepage rates and note the date.
- Ask your agent or wallet for the MMK that will arrive after fees — not only the headline FX.
- Prefer licensed banks / known wallets over strangers in chat for large sums.
- Screenshot the quote with time before you hit send.
