Thai SIM with CI or Pink Card — In Person

Need a Thai number in your own name for OTP, banking apps, and everyday safety? Reporting linked to NBTC-expanded registration says Myanmar workers may register SIMs with a Certificate of Identity (CI) plus supporting Thai documents, and with pink / white cards where shops accept the full set.

Two rules still bite: registration stays in person with biometrics, and there is typically a maximum of three SIMs per operator. That can cut broker dependence — but only if you go to an authorised AIS, True, or DTAC shop with the right papers.

Bring passport or CI, work docs, and patience. Refuse any offer to “use someone else’s ID.” Rules and shop practice can change; this item dates from reporting around 20 January 2026 and remains useful as a checklist — confirm at the counter before you act.

Monthly prepaid plans in Bangkok often land roughly ฿300–1,000, depending on data (crowdsourced ballpark — ask the shop for today’s packs).
