How Myanmar workers look for Malaysia factory / construction jobs without fake agents
How Myanmar workers look for Malaysia factory / construction jobs without fake agents

Malaysia’s manufacturing, construction, plantation and services sectors do hire foreign workers — but Burmese-language job ads on Jobstreet are rare right now. Most “safe” openings are ordinary factory/operator cards that do not mention Myanmar. Use this checklist before you pay anyone.
1. Start on public boards (free)
- Jobstreet Malaysia — search production operator, general worker, manufacturing, Johor / Selangor / Penang / Negeri Sembilan
- Company career pages (example corridor employers often post walk-in or operator roles)
- Ignore Facebook / Telegram “urgent Myanmar quota” posts that only share a phone number
2. Know the legal shape (high level)
- Foreign workers normally need a valid Temporary Employment Visit Pass (PLKS) tied to an approved employer and sector.
- Employers must use Malaysia’s official foreign-worker channels / quotas — you cannot “buy” a pass from a chat agent.
- A licensed Malaysian employment agency + a Myanmar-side licensed recruiter (when used) should be namable with licence numbers.
3. Fee red flags
| Red flag | Safer pattern |
|---|---|
| Pay first, “visa later” | Written job offer + employer name before any fee |
| Personal bank / QR to “Mr Broker” | Company invoice or licensed-agency receipt |
| Passport held as “deposit” | Keep your passport; certified copies only |
| “Guaranteed PLKS in 7 days” | Realistic timelines vary; no guarantee |
4. Questions to ask before you resign
- Exact employer company name and factory address
- Job title, basic wage, OT rate, rest days, dorm / food deductions
- Who sponsors the PLKS and who pays levy / medical / flight
- Licence numbers of any agency involved (MY + MM if any)
- Can they email an offer on company letterhead?
5. Related MMKHub safety posts
- Apply on the official board only — never via random chat “HR”

MMKHub note: This is a practical checklist, not immigration advice. Rules change. Confirm with the employer and licensed channels yourself. MMKHub does not place workers and does not sell visas.
