Thailand 90-day report + TM.30 checklist for Myanmar workers (2026)

Thailand 90-day report + TM.30 checklist for Myanmar workers — deadlines, online TM.47, landlord duty. Verify Immigration.

Two different Immigration duties often get mixed up. This is a practical checklist for Myanmar workers and families in Thailand — not legal advice. Rules and fees can change; always re-check the official Immigration Bureau pages linked below before you go or pay anyone.

Form Who files? What it is
90-day report (TM.47) You (the foreigner) — or someone you authorise / registered mail / online Tell Immigration you are still staying, every 90 days
TM.30 Landlord / house owner / hotel manager / employer dorm (not usually the worker alone) Notify Immigration that a foreigner is living at that address — within 24 hours of arrival

They are not a visa extension and not a work-permit renewal. Pair this with the e-WorkPermit renewals checklist when your permit window is open.

Part A — 90-day report (รายงานตัว 90 วัน / TM.47)

Who must report: Foreigners allowed to stay temporarily who stay over 90 days must notify Immigration every 90 days (Immigration Act B.E. 2522, section 37(5) — as stated on the Bureau site).

When (window on the official pages):

  • You may notify from 15 days before the due date
  • Or up to 7 days after the due date
  • Late / missed: go in person; official pages state a fine of 2,000 THB if you report late yourself, or 5,000 THB if you are arrested without having reported
  • Leaving Thailand and re-entering restarts the 90-day count from the latest entry

Ways to file (pick one):

  1. In person at the Immigration office for where you live
  2. Authorise someone else to file for you
  3. Registered mail (send early — official guidance says at least 15 days before due date)
  4. Online (TM.47 internet service)

Online (high level):

  1. Open Immigration’s Online Service for over-90-day notification (entry from immigration.go.th → Online Service / Over 90 day)
  2. Register with email + English name + phone; password is emailed
  3. Log in → New Application (TM.47) → fill required fields → Submit (status starts as Pending)
  4. Officer review: result emailed within about 3 working days; download the receipt when approved
  5. System may email a reminder ~15 days before the next due date

Online does not work if you changed to a new passport — file in person (or via authorised person) first at the Immigration office for your residence; later cycles can go online again.

Documents commonly listed for in-person / mail:

  • Passport
  • TM.6 departure card (if you still have one)
  • Previous 90-day receipt (if any)
  • Completed, signed TM.47 form
  • For mail: copies of passport bio + last entry / stay stamp + stamped return envelope (check current stamp amount on the live Immigration page)

Where (examples from Immigration):

  • Bangkok: 90 Days Report Section, Government Complex Building B (Chaeng Wattana / Lak Si) — or the Immigration Service Center for Myanmar / Lao / Cambodian legalised labour in Bangkok if you qualify
  • Provinces: local Immigration office for your residence area

Remember: A 90-day stamp/receipt is not a new visa.

Part B — TM.30 (แจ้งที่พักอาศัย)

Who files: House owner, head of household, landlord, or hotel/apartment manager who accommodates a foreigner (Immigration Act section 38 — as stated on the TM.30 guide). Deadline: within 24 hours of the foreigner arriving at that address.

What workers should do (practical):

  1. When you move into a new room / dorm / apartment, ask the landlord or HR the same day: “Has TM.30 been filed for me?”
  2. Keep a photo / copy of the TM.30 receipt (or online confirmation). You often need proof of address for visa / work-permit / bank steps.
  3. If your employer houses you in a factory dorm, HR usually files — still ask for the receipt.
  4. Online TM.30 is for landlords / hosts registering on the official system: tm30.immigration.go.th (register → add address → notify stay). Helpdesk email listed on the register guide: resident.helpdesk@police.go.th · Call Center 1178 (office hours).

Workers rarely file TM.30 alone; if a stranger asks you to pay a large “TM.30 agent fee,” stop and check with Immigration or your employer.

Worker checklist this week

  1. Find your next 90-day due date (last receipt / passport stamp / email reminder).
  2. If due within 15 days, prepare passport + prior receipt; try online TM.47 unless you just got a new passport.
  3. Confirm with landlord/HR that TM.30 matches your current address; re-notify when you move.
  4. Screenshot / photograph every receipt.
  5. Do not confuse 90-day / TM.30 with work-permit or visa extension — see the e-WorkPermit how-to.
